No PC version is announced. Here is the official record, every console-to-PC gap in Rockstar's history, and why the PC date decides whether GTA 6 roleplay ever happens.
Not announced, and not at launch. GTA 6 releases on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has never stated that a PC version exists, is in development, or is planned.
Asked directly about a PC version at the September 2026 shareholder meeting, Strauss Zelnick declined to confirm one or give a window. He described PC as a platform that is becoming more and more important, which is a statement about the market rather than about GTA 6.
That is where the official record ends. Everything else you will read about a PC date is extrapolation, including ours below — which we label as such.
The company has a consistent habit of console first, PC later. The gaps are the most useful thing we have.
| Game | Console release | PC release | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto IV | April 2008 | December 2008 | 8 months |
| Grand Theft Auto V | September 2013 | April 2015 | 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 2019 | 13 months |
| Red Dead Redemption (the first) | May 2010 | October 2024 | 14 years |
The last row is the one nobody includes, and it is the reason to hold any estimate loosely. Rockstar skipped PC entirely for that game for well over a decade before porting it.
If GTA 6 follows the GTA 5 and RDR2 pattern, a PC release lands somewhere between late 2027 and mid 2028. That is inference from two data points, not information.
The entire GTA modding and roleplay ecosystem lives on PC. FiveM, the framework every roleplay server runs on, is PC-only, and Rockstar acquired its developer Cfx.re in 2023. Until a PC version exists, GTA 6 roleplay cannot exist either — not as a small server, not as a large one.
So the PC date is not just about mouse and keyboard. It gates the part of the GTA economy that outlives the single-player campaign by years.
Because the demand is enormous and the supply is zero, this is one of the most reliably scammed searches in gaming right now. The pattern is always the same, and it is easy to check.
The one exception worth knowing: Rockstar does sometimes open PC pre-orders only weeks before release rather than months. When it happens, it will appear on the Newswire first and everywhere else afterwards.
Unknown, and the console price is the only fixed point — GTA 6 is an $80 title at launch, which was itself a step up from the $70 standard. Rockstar’s past PC ports launched at the then-current full price rather than at a discount, and they typically arrive with the technical extras that justify it: higher frame rates, draw distances, and in GTA 5’s case a first-person mode and a video editor the consoles did not get for months.
So the realistic trade is not cheaper-but-later. It is the same money for a better version, at a date nobody can tell you.

Rockstar has not announced a PC version. GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Asked about PC at the September 2026 shareholder meeting, Take-Two's chief executive declined to confirm one.
There is no announced date. For context, GTA 5 reached PC 19 months after its console release and Red Dead Redemption 2 took 13 months, which would put GTA 6 somewhere between late 2027 and mid 2028. That is inference from past behaviour, not information — and the first Red Dead took 14 years.
None have been published, because no PC version has been announced. Any requirements list you find was invented by whoever posted it.
No. There is no PC version to pre-order. Treat any listing offering one as a reason to leave that site.
Not until there is a PC version. FiveM, which every GTA roleplay server runs on, is PC-only. Rockstar acquired its developer Cfx.re in 2023, so the framework has the publisher's backing — but it still needs a PC game to run against.
No. No PC build exists publicly, so anything offering a download, a crack or an early build is malware. Rockstar announces PC releases on its own Newswire before they appear anywhere else.
